How to
- Jewellery → Receive Jewellery → + New Receipt — or open the issue and press Receive jewellery, which fills the maker for you.
- Choose the Maker. Maker’s bill / job ref is the number on their bill; For customer order links the receipt to an order.
- For each piece fill Refno, Category, the weights (Gross wt, Net wt) and what the maker bills: Labour, Metal value and Wastage. Press + Add piece for the next one.
- Under Stones set in this piece, press + Add stone and choose the stone — only stones issued to this maker and not yet used are offered. For a parcel, enter the Pcs and Carat used.
- Check the Receipt Summary — Total to pay the maker — and press Save Receipt. The pieces go into stock as jewellery, and the maker holds that many fewer of your stones.
Good to know
- A piece’s cost is what the maker bills plus what its stones cost you. Your stones are not billed to you.
- What you owe the maker shows in Outstanding and the Ledger, and is paid with a normal Payment.
- Made from your own gold? Set Metal from to Ours (issued to the maker), choose the metal, Purity and Wastage % — see Metal with makers.
- Leave Refno empty and it takes the next stock number, if your company numbers stock automatically.
- No stones issued to this maker? You can still receive plain jewellery with no stones set.
