How to
- Settings → Stock Numbering. Tick Automatic stock numbers.
- For each kind — Diamond — single, Diamond — parcel, Colour stone — single, Colour stone — parcel, Jewellery — set the Prefix (for example D, DP or J), the Next number and the Digits. Next numbers shows what they will look like.
- Press Save.
- On a purchase, Memo In, an Excel import or jewellery received from a maker, leave the Refno empty. The box shows the number it will get, and the number is given when you save.
Good to know
- A Refno you type yourself is kept as it is, and doesn’t use up a number.
- A number that is already taken is skipped. Ref nos are unique across the whole company, not per branch.
- Moving from another system? Set the Next number to carry on where you were.
- A prefix may use letters, numbers and - / _ . (for example D- or MUM/D).
