Unmaking a piece

How to

1. On Stock, click the piece’s refno and press Unmake.
2. Check the stones that come back: a stone from your own stock goes back to its refno; one that came with the piece becomes a stone of its own.
3. Keep Put its metal back into metal stock ticked to add the metal — purity, grams and value start from what the piece used.
4. Set the Date and press Unmake.

Good to know

• The labour is not recovered: what the piece cost less what comes back leaves your stock value.
• Only a piece in stock here can be unmade — not one sold, on memo, on hold or in transit. It can’t be undone.
• The piece’s Trace shows when it was unmade.
