How to
- Recut & Lab → Sent Out → + New Send-out.
- Choose Sent for — Recut / repolish (cutter) or Certification (lab) — the Branch and the Cutter or lab. Their ref is their job or receipt number.
- In Find stone in stock, type a refno or certificate number and press Enter. For a parcel, change Pcs and Carat to what you are sending. Press Save Send-out: the stones leave the shelf and show as At cutter / lab.
- When they come back, open the send-out and press Receive back. For each stone enter Carat back and Carat lost — for a single stone, Carat lost fills itself from what did not come back — and the Charge on their bill.
- Press Details on a stone for its new Shape and Length, Width and Depth. From a lab, also what the lab found (Colour, Clarity, Variety, Origin, Treatment, Colour grade) and the Certificate — Lab, Number, Issued and Valid until.
- Press Save receipt. The stones are back in stock at their new weight, with their new details, and the certificate is on the stone.
Good to know
- What the stone cost stays on it. A 1.00 ct stone that cost 1,000 and comes back 0.90 ct still cost 1,000 — now 1,111.11 per carat. The charge is added on top.
- The charge is a bill you owe the cutter or lab: it shows in Outstanding and the Ledger and is paid with a normal Payment. Entering it needs the right to manage purchases; Tax % adds their tax.
- A certificate from the lab becomes the stone’s main certificate if it had none; otherwise it is added beside the one it has — see Certificates.
- Part of a parcel can come back now and the rest later: the send-out stays Open until everything is back.
- Delete on a receipt puts the stone back exactly as it was — weight, cost, details and certificate — and back with the cutter or lab. It is refused if the stone’s cost has changed since or it has been sold.
- A stone at a cutter or lab can’t be sold, sent on memo, issued to a maker or sent out again until it comes back.
